Hot, Humid, Stormy Weekend

It will be a weekend to keep the air conditioners running while keeping an eye on the sky.

High temperatures are expected in the 90's both Saturday and Sunday, and there is a chance of thunderstorms, some of which could be severe.

The National Weather Service says wind gusts of 45 miles per hour and heavy rain are expected in some parts of southeastern Michigan. Stay tuned to WWJ Newsradio 950 for the latest details.

A cold front is expected to move across the region Sunday bringing cooler temperatures to start the work week.

Here's the WWJ-AccuWeather forecast:

Hot and humid Saturday afternoon with times of clouds and sun; a shower and thunderstorm in the area. High 91.

Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, warm and muggy with a spotty shower or thunderstorm . Low 73.

Sunday: Clouds and some sun, hot and humid with a couple heavy, gusty thunderstorms crossing the area. High 90.

Monday: Cooler and less humid with sunshine and a few clouds. High 84.

Tuesday and Wednesday: Partly to mostly sunny and nice with low humidity. High 80-84 both days.
