Lodge Closure Tops Weekend Roadwork Rundown

There's one full freeway closer to keep in mind this weekend. In Detroit, the Lodge (M-10)  will be closed completely on the southbound side from I-75 to Jefferson Ave. for pavement repairs near Joe Louis Arena and the Cobo Tunnel.

The full closure begins at 9 p.m. on Friday and ends by 5 a.m. on Monday. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto northbound I-75 to southbound I-375 to Jefferson Ave. A single lane will be open for local traffic to Howard Street. At Howard, all traffic will be forced off the freeway. Also, all ramps to southbound M-10 will be closed from I-75 to the Cobo Tunnel.

On I-75, watch out for a double land closure closing slowdowns northbound and southbound from Dixie Highway to I-275 between mile marker 15 and 20, through Sunday morning.

In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound I-94 will have two lanes closed between 8 Mile and 11 Mile roads for resurfacing. The lane restrictions will be in place beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and end by 5 a.m. on Monday. Also in In Macomb County -- overnight double lane closures are underway on eastbound I-94 from 10 Mile to 12 Mile roads for bridge painting. This runs from 8 p.m. til 5 a.m. the following mornings, continuing through mid-October.

In Detroit, the ramp from eastbound I-94 to eastbound and westbound I-96 will be closed for sign foundation work, Fridayat 9 p.m. til 9 a.m. Saturday.  A detour will be posted.

More Weekend Road Work:

I-94:
In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 will have the right and center lanes closed for pavement repair at Pelham Road beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday and ending by 9 a.m. on Saturday. From 9 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. on Monday, the right lane will be closed. In addition, the Pelham Road entrance ramp to eastbound I-94 will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday until 5 a.m. on Monday.

I-96:
In Detroit, two lanes will be closed on eastbound and westbound I-96, between Davison and Livernois, for ongoing bridge work. The double lane closures will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday and end by 5 a.m. on Monday.

In Wayne County, beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday and ending by 9 p.m. on Sunday, the right two lanes of westbound I-96 will be closed from Telegraph to Newburg roads for warranty work. From 2:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, the freeway will be reduced to a single lane from Telegraph to Merriman.

I-696:
In Macomb County, the right lane of westbound I-696 will be closed from Van Dyke Avenue to Mound Road beginning at 7 a.m. and ending by 9 p.m. on Saturday.

I-75:
In Detroit, beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, the ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound Davison Freeway will be closed for resurfacing. The ramp is expected to remain closed until Sunday, Oct 10. During the ramp closure, traffic will be directed to continue north on I-75 to westbound McNichols, to southbound Oakland Ave, to westbound Davison Freeway.

M-59:
In Oakland County, scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4, the eastbound M-59 exit ramp to Rochester Road will be closed for reconstruction. The ramp is scheduled to remain closed until November 8. During the ramp closure, exiting traffic will be directed to Crooks Road.

M-150 (Rochester Road):
In Oakland County, the right lane of northbound and southbound M-150 will be closed for pavement repair between M-59 and South Boulevard beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday and ending by 1 p.m. on Sunday.
