Opportunity To Voice Opinion on Light Rail Project

DETROIT (WWJ) Folks had the opportunity to voice their opinions  about the Woodward Avenue Light Rail Transit Project on Saturday, during one of two different sessions.

One of the major debates regarding the rail line is its alignment, both down Woodward and within downtown.  Right now, The rail is planned to stretch from the Detroit River to Eight Mile -- and if all goes well, construction is slated to begin later this year.

The public hearing and presentation were held Saturday at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library.  The first session ran from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Then from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a presentation at 4:30.
