Thousands Statewide Without Power Because Of Storm
DETROIT (WWJ) - More than 80-thousand homes and businesses were without power in Southern Michigan because of the snow and ice storm that pounded the state.
DTE says only a couple thousand customers were without service in Metro Detroit on Monday.
However, Consumers Energy issued a statement saying that 85-thousand customers were without service -- mainly in Lenawee, Monroe, Hillsdale and Branch counties.
Crews were expected to work around the clock, but it's not certain when all the power will be restored
