17-Year-Old Drowns In Lake After Possible Car Accident

MUSKEGON (WWJ) - Authorities say a teenager has died in an apparent drowning after driving his car into Muskegon Lake.

The name of the Muskegon Heights 17-year-old was not immediately released today pending notification of next of kin.

Muskegon police responded to a call for help at a dock at a marina, where witnesses say they saw the car travel into the lake and sink late Friday.

Police are still investigating the incident.
