SWAT Team Conducts Training Exercises In Oakland Co.

BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) - If you happen to see SWAT Team members near the site of the former Barclay Inn on Wednesday, don't panic - it's just a training exercise.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said the team will be practicing training exercises near the former hotel at Maple and Woodward between 9 am and 4 pm July 20.

The Sheriff's Office wants the public to know that multiple scenarios including assaults from the roof, simunition gun battles and other police activities will be exercised throughout the day and passersby and other traffic should be aware that these are training exercises only.
