Cornerstone Schools Host 'Be A Tiger For Kids' At Comerica Park
DETROIT (WWJ) - With the Detroit Tigers in the midst of a pennant race, Cornerstone Schools is excited to host the 6th annual "Be a Tiger for Kids" on Tuesday, August 16th, 2011 at Comerica Park as we help underprivileged children get a first class education all while watching the Detroit Tigers take on their division rival Minnesota Twins.
The family event will kick off with the Rock-N-Roar tailgate in lot 4 at Ford Field at 4:30 pm. Enjoy dinner provided by Andiamo and Pepsi, music from the Simone Vitale band, face painting, balloon artists, games and more.
Following the tailgate, there will be a special on-field presentation just before the game. The game will begin at 7:05 pm at Comerica Park.
Funds from the event will allow Cornerstone to continue serving the needs of Detroit based families who desire education excellence for their children. In addition, The Wheeler Family Foundation and an anonymous donor has issued a grant challenge to provide a $100,000 grant if "Be a Tiger for Kids" raises at least $400,000.
There are several tax-deductible donation options available ranging from $50 to $250. For more information, or to donate, visit www.cornerstoneschools.org or call 1-800-343-0951.
