DETROIT (WWJ) – The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing a warrant request from Gibraltar Police related to the murder of a woman whose torso was found in a suitcase.

On Thursday, Gibraltar Police said a man has confessed in the brutal murder of a Downriver woman, whose body parts were found stuffed in a suitcase.

Police are holding a 52-year-old neighbor of Pam Prpich, who was reported missing two weeks ago.  Police say body parts were found in a container in the suspect’s home.

Prpich’s brother found a part of her body in a suitcase that was floating in a creek near the Bella Vista Condos near West Jefferson and Gibraltar Road.

The suspect could appear in court on the charges this weekend.

Weekend arraignments take place in 34th District Court in Romulus.
