Save The Date For ACE 2012: The 12th annual conference of Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship, one of Michigan's oldest and premier conferences with a longstanding history of educating and engaging Great Lakes entrepreneurs from innovative rapid-growth technology and bioscience companies, will be held Jan. 31 at Ann Arbor's Skyline High School. ACE brings together entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders from around the Great Lakes region to network, learn and connect. Participants will have an opportunity to attend a variety of exciting panels highlighting lean startups, innovation in urban Michigan and financing strategies; consult 1-on-1 with industry experts; and watch Michigan's most innovative startups pitch their ventures in an elevator pitch competition. Walsh College Offers Open Source Meeting: The Walsh College Open Source Community will meet Saturday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Walsh Troy Campus, 3838 Livernois Road, Troy. The public can learn web development design and techniques at the free monthly meeting of the Walsh College Open Source Community. This month, Director of Information Assurance Center at Walsh College, Nan Poulios, will present on the usability and design of a website. The human computer interface is crucial in keeping users engaged on your website. Nan will explain the key elements of good design and demonstrate how to complete a usability test on your Web site.
