Concussions are trending up in Detroit. The Lions played without two starters, tight end Tony Scheffler and outside linebacker Justin Durant, both suffering from concussion-like symptoms. Then in the fourth quarter, running back Jahvid Best was knocked out.
The Lions will be particularly careful with Best. This is his second concussion this season (he had one in training camp) and he's had a history of them dating back to his junior season at Cal.
LINEUP WATCH
If the Lions think Best is going to be out a couple of weeks, they may seek some help at the trade deadline. Veteran Maurice Morris took all of the snaps after Best went down.
Keiland Williams, who seemed to be on the verge of getting an increased role in the run game, did not plain a coach's decision. Jerome Harrison has been a healthy scratch the last two games.
