Bicyclist Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car

BLOOMFIELD HILLS (WWJ) - A bicyclist is in the hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a car along Woodward Avenue.

Bloomfield Hills police say the man was hit while riding near Lone Pine Road shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the injuries are serious, but the man's condition is unknown at this time.

The 16-year-old car driver was found about a half-mile away from the accident scene. That driver was questioned but it's not immediately clear if any charges will be pursued.

An investigation is ongoing.
