Pairing a glass of water with every alcoholic beverage consumed is key to preventing symptoms associated with hangovers because of dehydration.

“A lot of the symptoms of a hangover are actually related to dehydration and by hydrating while your drinking, it makes you drink a little bit less and it also might prevent the symptoms of a hangover. But again, the best way to prevent a hangover is to not over indulge in the first place,” said Walton.
