Bryan and GalaxE have come to the attention of the administration with its business model, “Outsource to Detroit,” which positions Detroit as a viable alternative for creating the next-generation of high-level IT solutions predominantly onshore. In the forum, Bryan explained how onshoring in Detroit helps ensure cost, and importantly, quality benefits and innovation, while repatriating jobs to the United States.
Arriving in Campus Martius in April 2010, GalaxE is hiring 500 skilled IT workers in downtown Detroit. To date, more than 150 have been hired with immediate openings for 200 additional professionals — well ahead of original estimates and a sign that the “Outsource to Detroit” model is successful and resonating with companies nationwide.
