Former Campus Cop Could Face 5 Years In Prison For Drinking Bet

MOUNT PLEASANT (WWJ/AP) - A 34-year-old former campus police officer has pleaded guilty to misconduct for persuading two Central Michigan University students to bare their breasts.

Jeffrey Card was on patrol when he gave the women a ride in September from a bar. Authorities say Card took the 21-year-old women to a remote dirt road and made a bet that if their blood alcohol levels were higher than 0.05 percent, they had to show him their chests.

According to court documents, both women agreed, and when the test results were higher than the limit Card allegedly set, they flashed him. The women later were dropped off at a campus residence hall.

Court documents also show that the women agreed to pose for a photograph for Card on the back of the patrol car. That photo was later found on Card's cell phone.

Card was suspended after the incident and later resigned. He was charged in September.

Card faces up to five years in prison at his Feb. 24 sentencing.
