GVSU To Hear Presentation On PTSD: An expert in military psychology will give a presentation at Grand Valley State University about combat post-traumatic stress disorder and how to help veterans reintegrate back to civilian life. Bret A. Moore, psychologist and author, will speak at the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences on Friday, April 27 at 2 p.m. in the Hager Auditorium. His presentation is free and open to the public; refreshments will be provided. Moore is an Army veteran and served two tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He helped edit a book, “Living and Surviving in Harm’s Way.” He serves as a military consultant on how to help veterans diagnosed with PTSD. Moore’s presentation is sponsored by the Wounded Warriors Traumatic Brain Injury Project, a partnership between Grand Valley State University and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. WWTBIP offers opportunities for a full range of outpatient physical, psychological, and community support rehabilitation care to veterans who received a traumatic brain injury during active military service.
