Gearing Up For The Michigan International Women's Show

NOVI (WWJ) - The 17th Annual Michigan International Women's Show is coming up fast and promises to feature diverse exhibits all across the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

"Women will find inspiration, feel refreshed, and discover the secrets of living well," said show manager of Southern Shows Beth Anderson.

The most highly anticipated display centers around Princess Diana in the "Royal Dresses of Diana, The People's Princess" exhibit. The display will feature Princess Diana's life story through a presentation of her personal possessions.

The retrospective is arranged in seven sections, which includes an introductory documentary and a display of five of her most recognizable dresses.

"Showgoers will see a replica of Princess Diana's wedding gown as they enter the show and the gown she wore dancing with John Travolta at a White House state dinner in the exhibit," Anderson said.

Another popular exhibit is expected to take place at the "Balance Your Life" pavilion. This exhibit will feature educational workshops with topics that include health, fashion, skincare and all aspects of a woman's life. Attendees will also have the chance to meet Kristy Villa, host of "The Balancing Act" on Lifetime Television.

Other highlights include:

  • Helpful cosmetic tips
  • Ice cream sampling
  • Fashion shows
  • Cooking Demonstrations
  • Entertainment
