Princess Diana's Dresses On Display At International Women's Show

NOVI (WWJ) - A wardrobe fit for a princess will be on display at the International Women's Show in Novi this weekend.

This year's show features a display dedicated to the late Princess Diana, complete with five dresses she once wore. Show organizer Laura Campbell told WWJ's Sandra McNeill the display fill have some eye-catching designs.

"The famous dress she wore at the White House when she danced with John Travolta, which is really one of the quite stunning dresses, to a beautiful dress she wore in India that had to be certain colors, certain tones, and then there's some beautiful royal velvet gowns. So, you'll see different stages," said Campbell.

Diana sold off the dresses for charity shortly before her death. The display also features a replica of Diana's wedding gown. Campbell said the collection is worth millions.

"The dresses really are a piece of history, I mean, it's really special to be so close and to be able to walk right by and to help put them on the mannequins so people will really see and it does bring you right back to the memories. It's quite moving, it really is," she said.

The International Women's Show is taking place until Sunday May 6 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children under 5 with a paying adult.
