Arraignment Postponed For Lions' Fairley

The arraignment for the Detroit Lions' Nick Fairley was adjourned Monday until July 31 to give his attorney time to look over his case.

Fairley, a defensive tackle for the Lions, was charged with a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession stemming from an early April arrest.

The Detroit Lions selected Auburn's DT Nick Fairley 13th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. The Lions had their choice of who they wanted with 4 quarterbacks going in the top 12. Many people believed that Fairley would have been selected in the top five and the Lions would have taken Nebraska CB Prince Amukamara.

When Nick Fairley and Mikel Leshoure were arrested for bad driving and possession of marijuana people emailed me and said Lions coach Jim Schwartz has lost control of the team, said Terry Foster in a May 2 post on 97.1 The Ticket.
