Man Disappears While Swimming In Lake Saint Clair

SAINT CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) - Rescue crews are frantically searching near Harsens Island, Friday afternoon, for a man who went underwater and never came back up.

St. Clair County Sheriff Divers, Coast Guard and Border patrol crews are all on the scene where for a 21-year-old Detroit man went missing while swimming in Lake Saint Clair near the Mayberry Bridge.

According to authorities, the man jumped from the bridge into water that is 8 to 10 feet deep. He didn't resurface.

The man was with his fiancée and three children at the time of the incident. His fiancée called 9-1-1.
