GSTV First To Use StarStar Mobile Platform To Benefit Advertisers

BIRMINGHAM -- Gas Station TV, the largest national video network at the pump, announced that it has successfully integrated the StarStar technology at stations nationwide and launched its **GSTV (**4788) mobile platform on behalf of its advertisers.

The integration allows immediate interaction and engagement between GSTV viewers and marketers on the network.

StarStar, a new type of mobile phone number, allows GSTV to deliver a robust mobile experience on behalf of its ad clients to any phone through a simple, fast phone call. By dialing **GSTV (**4788), consumers can gain instant access to an advertiser's mobile app or Web page.

The platform also gives advertisers the ability to push coupons, videos and more directly to consumers' mobile phones -- a first-of-its-kind opportunity for consumers and advertisers alike.

To kick off **GSTV (4788) GSTV hosted a nationwide sweepstakes which enabled consumers to enter to win $50 gas cards and the chance to win a year's worth of free gas. The two-week long sweepstakes generated more than 46,000 entries from 46 of the 50 U.S. states. Another fact emerging from the sweepstakes data was that an overwhelming majority of the calls, nearly 70 percent, originated from smartphones; a resounding confirmation for GSTV's ability to drive consumers via its geo-targeted, location-based service offerings.

Said David Leider, president and CEO of Gas Station TV: "Be it downloading an app or redeeming special offers on the go, **GSTV allows GSTV to deliver unprecedented consumer engagement for clients in the gas media space."

Added Joe Gillespie, president and CEO of Palo Alto, Calif.-based Zoove, provider of StarStar: "StarStar provides a unique way to truly engage consumers and having GSTV adopt the platform to increase reach of the on-the-go consumer on behalf its advertisers is magnificent."

Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH) has signed on as the first advertiser to use StarStar to engage audiences through GSTV. With a campaign set for launch this month, Choice Hotels is using the network as its exclusive marketing network at gas stations, using the **GSTV platform to launch its new mobile app.

Future phases of the **GSTV (**4788) rollout will include regional customization allowing regionally focused businesses to target messages to specific markets, and functionality that will allow callers to browse local events or submit their own events through GSTV's long-running social program "Your Neighborhood."

The first Nielsen-audited and measured TV network at gas stations, GSTV has grown from a five-station pilot in Dallas to more than 31 million monthly viewers at the nation's leading gas retailers in more than 100 metropolitan areas. Through its inOvationTV partnership with Wayne, a GE Energy business, the network is on track to increase its monthly viewership to 70 million. GSTV is a proven tool for driving business for advertisers and increasing the revenue stream for gas retailers, while engaging consumers with exclusive content including news from CNN's Headline News, entertainment headlines from Showbiz Tonight, sports recaps from ESPN, business and personal finance reports from Bloomberg TV, and GSTV's original social media program, "Your Neighborhood," in addition to local weather updates from AccuWeather.
