Gov. Snyder To Hold Town Hall Meeting In Monroe

MONROE (WWJ) - Gov. Rick Snyder will visit Monroe Monday for a public town hall meeting to listen to the concerns of local residents and address reforms that have been signed into law during his tenure.

State Rep. Dale Zorn, R-Ida, said he's proud to bring the governor to Monroe to showcase the community and give area residents the opportunity to speak directly with the governor.

"I really appreciate the governor's willingness to talk with Monroe area residents about current reforms in government and the many positive changes we are seeing at the state level," Zorn said in a statement.

Zorn said this is a "valuable opportunity" for Monroe County residents to have their voices heard and receive answers to their questions.

The town hall meeting will take place on Monday, June 25 from 11 a.m. to noon. The doors will open at 10:15 a.m. with seating being first come, first served.

The forum will be held in the La-Z-Boy Auditorium at Monroe County Community College, located at 1555 S. Raisinville Road in Monroe.
