DETROIT (WWJ) – A missing baby has been found dead in Southfield.

The body of missing Ziya Turner was found around 1 a.m. inside her family’s home on Brinker Street by Southfield police cadaver dogs.

Police said an uncle who has been babysitting her and several other children discovered Turner missing Friday afternoon. Shortly after an intensified search of the area began for the little girl.

Meantime authorities say family members are cooperating with the investigation. No arrests had been made Saturday morning but authorities were questioning individuals close to the case.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Officer is expected to perform an autopsy later in the day.
