“Remodeling for Energy Efficiency” Workshop For Existing Homes: The Detroit Regional Chapter of the United States Green Building Council, in conjunction with the Energy and Environmental Building Alliance, are presenting a one day workshop offering strategies to improve energy efficiency in existing homes. The event will be held Tuesday August 7 at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. The cost is $125 per participant and registration is available online at Learn the fundamentals of air, heat and moisture flow and see how they can be applied to remodeling existing homes to make them more efficient, safe, healthy, durable and comfortable. Merit Network Offers Three Webinars On IPv6 Implementation: Ann Arbor-based Merit Network Inc. has announced a series of Lunch and Learn Qebinars on IPv6 presented by NYSERNet, New York’s research and education network. These one-hour sessions discuss essential topics that are among the first that organizations must consider when planning for IPv6 deployment. The content of the webinars is drawn partially from the curriculum of a NYSERNet-led IPv6 workshop that Merit will host in Ann Arbor on November 1-2.
