Still No Sign Of Missing Morenci Boys

MORENCI, Mich. (WWJ) - Police in Morenci say they're still trying to find three young boys from Lenawee County -- who haven't been seen since Thanksgiving Day 2010.

Still missing are 9-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner Skelton. They went missing after a Thanksgiving visit with their father nearly two years ago, and Morenci County Police Chief Larry Weeks says they have not given up looking for the boys, although they're not actively searching.

"There's been no organized ground searches on our behalf since, it's been probably two years, you know, since the incident started," Weeks told WWJ's Mike Campbell. "But as far as - you know - have people forgotten about 'em, absolutely not. The people in our community are very aware of the case and it's present in their minds, I'm sure, on a daily basis."

Weeks says they follow leads as they come in, but so far, nothing has turned up.

Their dad, 39-year-old John Skelton, remains in jail. He's the only suspect in the case. He says he gave the boys to a group, which he refuses to identify.
