Regional Employers Seek Talent At Pure Michigan Opportunity Great Lakes Bay Career Event: On Friday, Sept. 28, the Michigan Economic Development Corp. will team up with regional business leaders and economic developers to host Pure Michigan Opportunity – Great Lakes Bay 2012. The event is designed to connect new professionals, college students and recent graduates with area employers with jobs to fill. Participants will have an opportunity to network with Bay, Midland, and Saginaw county business leaders, tour trendsetting restaurants and nightspots, and explore affordable, one-of-a-kind places to live and play. Pure Michigan Opportunity – Great Lakes Bay kicks off on Friday, Sept. 28 at the Apple Mountain Resort located at 4519 North River Drive in Freeland. Registration begins at 9 am, followed by an opening welcome and breakfast at 9:45 a.m. Career networking with regional employers follows at 10 a.m. At 11:30 a.m., participants will leave for the first leg of a tour of area communities and great places to live, work and play. After a 1 p.m. lunch, participants will continue touring the region, returning to Apple Mountain Resort for a farewell gathering at 4:15 p.m. At least two dozen employers from the Great Lakes Bay region will take part in the event.
