1 Dead, 4 Injured As Police Chase Turns Into Deadly Accident

ROMULUS (WWJ) - A police chase-turned-accident in Romulus has killed a man and injured four people.

The man officers were pursuing was killed in the crash, while his passengers, reportedly a woman and her 3-year-old, were hurt.

The police officers involved in the overnight chase along Inkster road were also injured, but WWJ has been told they are expected to recover.

The Romulus Police Department, however, will not say how the mom and toddler are doing.

Michigan State Police are investigating the crash. Reports suggest alcohol played a role.
