OMAHA (AP) – Meryl Davis and Charlie White of Ann Arbor topped the only competition they have in the United States –themselves, running away from the pack in the short dance category at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Omaha.

The Olympic silver medalists and 2011 world champs are all but assured locking up record-tying fifth U.S. dance title Saturday.

Davis and White’s closest competition comes from Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.

Both couples train together in Canton Township.
