Greyhound Installs Jackson Firm's Light Fixtures At U.S., Canadian Locations

JACKSON -- EverLast Lighting said Wednesday that Dallas, Texas-based Greyhound Lines Inc. is installing EverLast induction lighting at its locations at Dallas and Houston, Texas, Chicago, Ill. and Ottawa, Canada.

Greyhound Lines is the largest provider of intercity bus transportation, serving over 3,800 destinations across North America, providing safe, affordable travel to nearly 25 million passengers annually.

Earlier last year, the transportation giant recognized a need for a lighting upgrade at a number of their terminals. In an effort to improve security, and become more energy efficient the company enlisted Atlantech Inc. of Pennsylvania to navigate a commercial lighting solution at several of their national and international locations.

"Given the amount of fixtures and the size of each installation, there were stringent guidelines to follow, as well as security and safety concerns in each public area," said Atlantech spokesman Ryan Miller. "EverLast has designed enhanced features such as modified optics and variable dimming in its commercial fixtures which exceed the parking lot and exterior requirements tied to facility specification criteria. Because EverLast was proactive in the development of several features in the parking lot lighting solution; that eliminated tons of service related challenges and provided Greyhound with a very accommodating lighting solution."

Each installation included a variety of fixtures from the induction product line ranging from the 120 watt U.S. ShoeBox, 150 watt Classic Wallpack, and the 200 watt Classic Flood models. The fixtures were used to upgrade parking lot, building exterior, and security areas at each massive bus terminal across the U.S. and Canada.

EverLast induction light fixtures are 50 to 70 percent more energy efficient than metal halides and last up to 100,000 hours, making them virtually maintenance free for up to 10 years. EverLast induction lighting fixtures are also "instant on" and available with a dimmable option, providing even more energy savings while areas are vacant.

"The ROI for EverLast is monumental compared to other lighting solutions as they provide a staggering 60 percent energy reduction," Miller said. "In terms of cutting facility costs, and becoming energy efficient, upgrading your lighting is the easiest way to do that.".

EverLast Lighting Inc. is a sister company of Full Spectrum Solutions Inc. and has quickly grown into the leading manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting solutions for roadway, parking structure, facility and area lighting applications.
