MiCTA Adds Sprint Tablets, Wireless, Trunking

SAGINAW -- MiCTA, a nationwide non-profit group purchasing organization, announced that it has amended its Master Service Agreement with Sprint to include a range of new services, including unlimited 3G and 4G data plans for compatible tablet devices.

The amendment also provides special pricing for Sprint's Wireless Campus Manager services and SIP trunking services.

"This amendment provides our members with services they need to implement and support mobile computing and VoIP technologies," said Tim von Hoff, COO of MiCTA. "Our educational customers, in particular, will now be able to make exceptional use the mobile device options we offer through Sprint."

Sprint's Wireless Campus Manager delivers a complete mobile learning infrastructure solution for MiCTA's K-12 members. Among other services, Sprint's Wireless Campus Manager provides complete mobile device management services, CIPA-compliant safety and filtering services, learning management systems services and asset management.

Sprint's SIP trunking services are designed to work in conjunction with Sprint's MPLS services, and provide a wide range of unified communications services for MiCTA members that want to maximize the use of their IP-based PBX systems. SIP trunking offers MiCTA members the opportunity to reduce the cost of their telecommunications services while both simplifying their telecommunications infrastructure and expanding the range of available telecommunications services.

"Increasingly our members are moving toward mobile computing and unified communications," says von Hoff. "We are pleased to provide our members with services that support their telecommunications and technology goals."

Downtown Saginaw-based MiCTA represents thousands of higher education, K-12, healthcare, library, governmental and charitable entities. Nationally, MiCTA seeks to resolve common voice, video and data issues, provide helpful information, participate in legislative and regulatory telecommunications advocacy, and negotiate discounted purchase contracts for telecommunications and technology services for its members.
