Salt Hauling Freighter Runs Aground In Saginaw River
A tug boat is working to lighten the load of a Great Lakes freighter that ran aground while hauling salt in the Saginaw River.
The 650-foot "Algorail," out of St Catherines, Ontario, has been stuck since around 5:30 Tuesday morning.
Some of the cargo is being off-loaded onto a nearby barge in an effort to free the ship.
The Coast Guard says the grounding isn't interfering with other river traffic.
