Here's another one of those stories that'll have you running for the disinfecting wipes -- especially if you have kids.

Parents say it all the time: " Those video games are going to rot your brain."

But as it turns out, it's actually the video game controllers that can make you sick.

New research reveals that those game controllers can harbor up to five times more bacteria than -- you guessed it -- the average toilet seat.

Researchers who swabbed areas of an average house for bacteria like E. coli also found that kids' toys are heavily contaminated.

Although the game controllers were bad, and bicycles and balls are also pretty germy -- trampolines are the worst.

While you're scrubbing the game controllers and toys, you might as well hit the arms of your sofa too. The ones swabbed for the study had 12 times as many germs as the average toilet seat.
