BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) – A 32-year old Troy man is hospitalized in critical condition after police say he crashed into a Birmingham home while fleeing from police early Saturday morning.
The incident began when the driver, nearly hit a police car at 13-Mile and Southfield and when Beverly Hills Public Safety officers tried to stop him, he led officers on a chase through residential areas.

Police report there was extensive damage to the home but no one inside the home was hurt.

Police believe alcohol and drugs were involved.
