Compuware Ranked One of the World's Top 3 Leading Application Performance Management Vendors

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Compuware Corp. Wednesday announced that industry analyst firm International Data Corp. has ranked Compuware the world's third largest APM software vendor based on 2012 revenue.

Compuware also had the highest growth rate of the top three vendors.

According to IDC's market analysis report titled: "Worldwide Application Performance Management Software 2012 Vendor Shares," Compuware's APM business unit ranked third, with APM revenue estimated at $272 million, representing a 12.3 percent market share.

Compuware's 19.8 percent growth rate from 2011 to 2012 was the highest out of the top three vendors.

IDC expects the worldwide APM market will top $2.5 billion in 2013 and will total almost $4 billion by 2017.

"This ranking reaffirms our strength and leadership in the APM market," said John Van Siclen, General Manager of Compuware's APM business unit. "Our innovative, new generation approach to APM is redefining the APM landscape and shifting the expectations of the market.
