TechSmith Teams With MediaCore To Help Educators Flip Classrooms Easily and Quickly

OKEMOS (WWJ) -- To make flipping classrooms easy and seamless for educators, TechSmith today announced a partnership with London, England-based MediaCore, an online media library that provides schools and institutions with a simple way to share and manage their video content.

Through this partnership, users of TechSmith's Snagit content capture software now have the ability to directly upload content to MediaCore through a new output, so screencasts and recordings can be added to the site in one simple click.

As part of its ongoing mission to provide even the least tech-savvy educators with the opportunity to successfully flip their classroom, this partnership allows teachers to easily combine platforms they're already using. With one-click capability, the integration decreases the complexity of sharing flipped content while also increasing efficiency, ultimately helping educators reach students in new and exciting ways.

"Our priority is making teaching efficient and effective through the use of visual content and communication," said William Hamilton, TechSmith President. "There are so many educators already using Snagit to create lessons and MediaCore to store and share their content. By partnering with MediaCore, we can eliminate a complex and time-consuming process that makes flipping easy for everyone."

"This partnership provides educators with a simple way to create and share visual content, making the flipped classroom achievable for all," said Stuart Bowness, co-founder and CEO at MediaCore. "Through the content created with Snagit, educators can create extensive media libraries that will help students of all levels and abilities, making the learning experience more interactive and personalised than ever before."

"We're looking forward to using Snagit in conjunction with MediaCore; we think it will make it easier to create video learning content and securely share it with our users, with only a few simple clicks. MediaCore's Moodle plugin will also allow us to share Snagit videos via our Moodle platform, where we can build rich learning experiences around them." said Sarah Sherman, BLE Service Manager, Bloomsbury Colleges, University of London. "It will be particularly valuable for those members of our staff who regularly create screencast content - it will make the whole process so much quicker and easier, saving them time and allowing them to create great content more often".
