Kirk Gibson Gets Into Exchange With L.A. Media Member At Winter Meetings

"Gibson swings and a fly ball to deep right field. This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson and the Dodgers have won the game, 5-4. I don't believe what I just saw!"

It might just be the most famous call of all-time, Jack Buck, father of broadcaster Joe Buck, made this call in the ninth inning of of game 1 in the 1988 World Series.

That home run might be the moment that the former Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Tiger might be remembered for the most nationally. Here in Detroit we also remember Gibby wearing 23 for the Tigers and hitting a 3-run upper deck home run in game 5 of the 1984 World Series.

Gibson, who is now the manager for the Arizona Diamondbacks, is in Orlando Florida for the MLB winter meetings. Each manager has a table where he sits to answer questions from media members.

Let's just say, this year didn't go so well. One of those media members looked to have an agenda with Gibson. My favorite quote from Gibson is as followed:

"I'm surprised. Trying to get some juicy articles for this week?"
