Michigan Football To Play Rutgers In Night Game On The BTN

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan and Rutgers University announced Tuesday (April 22) that the first-ever meeting as Big Ten Conference East Division foes will be played in primetime. The Oct. 4 game at High Points Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, N.J., will kick-off at 7 p.m. ET on the BTN.

This will be the inaugural match-up of two of college football's oldest programs. Rutgers and Princeton are the oldest teams in intercollegiate football, beginning their 145th year of action this fall, and Michigan is the nation's sixth oldest program at 135 seasons.

Three of Michigan's first seven football game will be played at night, including back-to-back conference games against Rutgers (Oct. 4) and Penn State (Oct. 11).
