MONROE (WWJ) – Police are investigating an apparent drowning in Monroe.

Rescue workers failed to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.READ MORE: Doctor Accused Of Hoarding Dead Kittens In Her Freezer
According to Monroe Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Richard Ohanesian, it was not clear immediately clear how long the man had been in the water. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
