Nike has hit yet another home run (pun intended!) with its new commercial featuring “the kid” Ken Griffey Jr. The commercial has one of baseball’s best questioning if he is the best athlete in Seattle history.

Griffey is sitting at a diner reading a paper, and the headline reads, “Seattle’s Best Athlete Ever.” Griffey asks the kid sitting next to him, “who’s this Richard Sherman?” The kid replies, “who are you?”

This spot is hilarious to me. Growing up, Ken Griffey Jr. was the man and he couldn’t do any wrong with the Mariners. I don’t think that Sherman has surpassed him but it does bring up an interesting question.
