ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) – A barricaded gunman situation in St. Claire Shores has kept police at bay since early morning Sunday.

Police state that they were called to the home on 10 Mile Road between Greater Mack and Harper in the early hours of the morning in connection with a reported assault.

A 19-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the attack.

Authorities say the suspect was the only person in the home as others inside the residence were able to get out earlier.

Police say the suspect, 42, was wanted on several warrants, was believed to be armed and was not communicating with officers.

One neighbor described him as a troubled man.

The suspect was arrested without further incident and faces an arraignment on Tuesday.
