David Gross, general manager of the new Verizon Wireless store in Rochester Hills, is finding that customers are interested in fitness items from exercise trackers such as Fitbit to Zepp monitoring systems to help improve the power and accuracy of golfers, baseball players and tennis players.

“One of the trends right now is our fitness zone,” said Gross, of the section of his store dedicated to athletic equipment. “As we have spring come back in to full force with the snow melting, we’ve seen a lot of people come in for the Fitbits.”
