'Prankster' Targets Cars In Royal Oak Neighborhood With BB Gun

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - Royal Oak police are trying to find out who shot out several car windows with a BB gun.

At least five people living on Normandy Avenue and Edmond Street, near Main Street north of 13 Mile Road, reported their car windows were shot out sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning -- April Fools Day.

Each case is very similar: cars were parked on the street and rear windows were shot out.

Investigators say anyone who sees suspicious behavior in their neighborhoods should call the police department at 248-246-3500.

List of incidents:

· 200 block of Edmund, 3/31 - 4/1, 10 p.m. - 8:12 a.m. -- Complainant reported parking her vehicle in the street. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect shot the rear window with a bb gun.

· 100 block of Edmund, 3/31 - 4/1, 10 p.m. - 8:10 a.m. -- Complainant reported parking his vehicle in the street. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect shot the rear window with a bb gun.

· 300 block of Normandy, 3/31 - 4/1, 10 p.m. - 8 a.m. -- Complainant reported parking her vehicle in the street. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect shot the driver's side rear window with a bb gun.

· 400 block of Normandy, 3/31 - 4/1, 10 p.m. - 8 a.m. -- Complainant reported parking her vehicle in the street. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect shot the driver's side rear window with a bb gun.

· 400 block of Normandy, 3/31 - 4/1, 10 p.m. - 8 a.m. -- Complainant reported parking his vehicle in the street. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect shot the driver's side rear window with a bb gun.
