Get A Free 8-Point Car Check Today During National Car Care Month

SOUTHFIELD - It is National Car Care month ... and you have a chance to get your car checked for free.

"When springtime comes people are thinking about the road trip coming up in the summer - I know I am - and people out there washing their cars - paying more attention. So it's a way to look at the tires yourself and make sure everything is in good shape," said Dave LaBounty from Belle Tire.

The free car check is taking place at the Tim Horton's on 12 Mile in Southfield Sunday, April 26, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.

The 8-point inspection will include some basics like:

"Things you can do fairly quickly, tire check, check the tread depth, make sure the air pressure is good, check for any unusual wear," said LaBounty, "we'll check your windshield for you - we'll do a free chip repair for you if you need it and we'll make sure you wipers are in good shape and top off your solvent for you as well."

Here's the official list: Belle Tire experts will provide a free on-site 8-point vehicle inspection which will check the following:

- Tires (tread depth, air pressure, and unusual wear)
- Auto glass, including free windshield chip repairs
- Wipers
- Engine oil
- Air filter
- Lights
- Battery
- Fluids, including free windshield solvent top offs
