Twin Sisters Land Co-starring Roles In Upcoming Feature Film

DETROIT (WWJ) - A new movie currently filming in Michigan, Indiana and Massachusetts stars twin sisters from Farmington, who at the age of 17, are well on their way to promising careers in show business. The two sisters, Jacqueline and Elizabeth Labadie, not only act, they sing as well, and their mother, Michelle Labadie, is super proud.

"They are National Honor Society students, so they have maintained excellent grades throughout this whole process," Michelle Labadie told WWJ Newsradio 950.

The movie the twins are co-starring in is "Crowning Jules," starring Jacqueline as Jules. "The plot of the story is them going on adventures together to Boston for a pageant, and to go to Harvard, and through it all seeing how much they mean to each other," Jacqueline Labadie said.

Starring as Madison is her twin, Elizabeth, who says everyone at their school, North Farmington High, is behind them. "We have a lot of good friends there that are supporting us and ask us how the movie's going all the time and always checking up on us and seeing what's next for the movie," Elizabeth Labadie said. "We go to a really great school and we love it."

"I absolutely love it as well," Jacqueline Labadie added. "The teachers and the administration are super supportive and help us figure out our classes because being gone for filming and meetings, it can be a lot with working around homework, so they've been really supportive."

THEIR BIG BREAK

You might say Jacqueline and Elizabeth were in the right place at the right time. They were discovered, Elizabeth says, while working on the upcoming film, "Rodeo Girl." "We were just extras on set and Lucas Miles, the producer of "Crowning Jules," saw us, and we were talking to him and he was like, alright guys let's find a script, we're gonna make a movie!"

Miles, president of Miles Media, put it this way: "I was actually surprised that they hadn't played leads in a film before," he said.

And, while they're relatively unknown right now, after the release of "Crowning Jules," that'll likely change.

"When I saw the twins and just introduced them, I mean from their look, but beyond that, just their personality; you know, super fun, super bubbly, but also really, really polite and humble, which I just think it just goes so far and it's sort of a rarity at times in the industry," Miles added.

The Labadie sisters still had to go through the audition process, but their years of acting classes paid off when they got the call they were waiting for.

"We actually just spent the last two months of February and March in L.A. going on auditions for all different types of things; TV shows and movies," Jacqueline said.

"Rodeo Girl," starring Kevin Sorbo and Sophie Bolen is expected to be released nationwide this summer. As far as "Crowning Jules," Miles says filming is expected to wrap up by the end of July.  His plan is for a January 2016 release date.
