Dog Found Shot In Leg; $2500 Reward Offered For Info Leading To Conviction
DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Michigan Humane Society and Detroit Pit Crew are partnering to offer a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction anyone who is responsible for shooting a dog found near Lahser and Midland on Detroit's west side.
A man and his young daughter saw the dog -- now named Bandit -- struggling to walk in the road early Thursday morning. They were able to coax the dog into their yard and called Detroit Pit Crew, who took the dog to Eastpointe Animal Hospital. It was determined that Bandit had been shot in the leg.
The dog is now receiving medical attention at Eastpointe Animal Hospital.
"We are so glad that Detroit Pit Crew has been able to be there for Bandit and provide him the care he deserves," said Debby McDonald, Michigan Humane Society Chief Cruelty Investigator. "Now, we would like to focus on bringing those responsible for this cruel act to justice."
