SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) – Two Detroit Tigers pitchers skipped riding the team bus to Thursday’s game at Target Field and used foot power instead.

Justin Verlander and Anibal Sanchez donned sunglasses and rode scooters to the park for their game against the Twins.

Their ride into work was recorded and shared on Sanchez’s Instagram account.

Neither pitcher was scheduled to pitch Thursday night. David Price will take the mound for the Tigers Thursday against Mike Pelfrey.

Verlander’s next scheduled start is Friday.
