Tips Sought To Find Runaway Grand Rapids Teen

GRAND RAPIDS (WWJ) - Grand Rapids police are reaching out to the public for help to find a missing 15-year-old girl.

Police say Ijaya Tett ran away from home on Saturday, Aug. 15, but is believed to have remained in the Grand Rapids area.

Tett is known to frequent the downtown area — especially Rosa Parks Circle — and has family ties in the area of Franklin/Eastern Ave. SE. The family is concerned about her welfare due to "recent health and behavioral issues."

Tett is described as a black female, around 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 130 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has seen this teen or may have information regarding her whereabouts of Ijaya is asked to call the Rapids Police Department at 616-456-3400, or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
