WARREN (WWJ/AP) – A fire at a junkyard in Macomb County sent plumes of smoke into the air that could be seen for miles.

No injuries are reported following the fire, which was reported Tuesday evening at Macomb Auto Salvage on Bunert Road just south of I-696 in Warren.

Crews responded to the junkyard after receiving multiple reports of thick, black smoke filling the air. Several vehicles in a pile of scrapped vehicles burned.

There’s no immediate word on a possible cause.
