Candy Cork said she killed the raccoon with a brick in the driveway of a daycare where she works because local pest control officials told her it would cost $129 to remove the animal.

Cork, 52, believed the animal had been poisoned and was a threat to the children at the daycare, she told mlive. Cork filmed the raccoon’s final moments and posted the video to Facebook, where she has received threats and public backlash. Her Facebook page has since been deactivated after the post received over 6700 comments and 9000 shares.
