BATTLE CREEK (AP) — A suspected bank robber has been shot in the hand while exchanging gunfire with police in Battle Creek.

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle with three people in it after a bank was held up late Saturday morning.

Police say shots were fired at officers from the vehicle which eventually crashed. One of the people inside the vehicle was wounded after more shots were fired at officers.

The man who was shot, another man and a woman were arrested.
