Pistons Retire Ben Wallace's No. 3 To The Palace Rafters [VIDEO]

AUBURN HILLS (CBS Detroit) -- Saturday night was a big night at the Palace of Auburn Hills, and not only because the defending champion Golden State Warriors were in town. The Detroit Pistons franchise enshrined one of their own among the team's legends.

Ben Wallace's No. 3 was lifted to the rafters during a halftime ceremony, joining other eight players as a permanent part of Pistons lore.

Wallace was a pivotal part of a team that won a championship in 2004 by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in five games. He is the franchise's all-time leader in blocks, won four Defensive Player of the Year awards and was a four-time All-Star.

Another member of that 2004 team will join Wallace in being honored by the team. Chauncey Billups will have his No. 1 retired on Feb. 10.
